The Xiamen Symposium on Marine Environmental Sciences (XMAS 2025)

Background

The 7th Xiamen Symposium on Marine Environmental Sciences (XMAS 2025) invites early career participants to apply for a one-day recruitment-oriented special reception. Successful applicants will receive travel funds to attend the event. During the reception, attendees will learn about Xiamen University’s (XMU) current research in oceanography, ecology, and environmental sciences, as well as support programs and employment opportunities in these fields.
The special reception will be held on January 18, 2025, the day after the conference of XMAS 2025 (January 14–17, 2025). For more information about XMAS 2025, visit https://melmeeting.xmu.edu.cn/xmas/.

Application Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:
(1) Conduct research in oceanography, environmental science and engineering, ecology, or other related fields;
(2) Be under 35 years old (or under 38 for those with 3 years of overseas work experience);
(3) Obtained a Ph.D. degree or expect to obtain Ph.D. degree;
(4) The applicants are required to submit an abstracts to XMAS 2025.

Funding Support

• Travel expenses of up to ¥10,000 RMB for applicants from Asian countries, and up to ¥20,000 RMB for applicants from other regions.
• Accommodation provided during the symposium.
• XMAS 2025 registration fee waived.
