IEEE Colombia has chosen Barranquilla as the venue for the 17th IEEE Colombian Conference on Communications and Computing – COLCOM 2024. This conference is the most important in Colombia that aims at showing the progress and development of the state-of-the-art in the different areas of telecommunications and computing from the view of academic, scientific and industry contexts. In this version, the main subject is «Beyond 6G and its enabling technologies in the modern society». In recent years, Barranquilla, declared as industrial and port special district in Colombia, has gained national and international recognition for its potential to become one of the most important cities in Latin America in terms of logistics, manufacturing and creative industry. We hope that the government academy and industry will take active participation in this edition of the conference.
