International Conference on Wavelet Analysis and Pattern Recognition (IAPR 2007)

ICWAPR’07 is the fifth of a series of the formerly international conferences on wavelet theory and applications (ICWAA). The first four conferences were held in, respectively, Guangzhou (1999), Hong Kong (2001), Chongqing (2003), and Macau (2005). ICWAPR'07 will be held on 2-4 November, 2007, at the University of Science and Technology, Beijing, China. The objective of the conference is to bring together researchers working on mathematical theory and engineering, specifically, wavelet analysis and pattern recognition, to explore the synergy between the two. This conference is built on the success of the ICWAAs and takes a new initiative by providing focused research forums led by experts in selected fields such as Biometrics and new developments of wavelets. The conference offers opportunity for selected works to be published first in the conference proceedings and later in special issue of journals.
