The Production and Operations Management Society (POMS) is the most influential international academic organization in the field of production and operations management. Since its founding, POMS has been dedicated to advancing academic research and practical innovation globally. In 2018, with formal authorization from the POMS Council, four leading Chinese universities — Tianjin University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Zhejiang University, and the University of Science and Technology of China — jointly launched the “POMS International Conference in China”. This 2025 edition, successfully hosted again by Tianjin University, reflects the university’s long-standing academic strength in operations management and serves as a high-level platform connecting global scholarship with Chinese practice — offering broader and more convenient academic exchange opportunities for POMS scholars across China and fostering international collaboration.
