The 2026 International Conference on Power Systems and Smart Grid Technology (PSSGT 2026) will be held in Chongqing, China from May 15–17, 2026. This conference is co-organized by Chongqing University and the University of Tokyo! The conference covers a broad range of topics including renewable energy, energy storage and distributed energy resources, smart grid architecture, clean and renewable energy, power and energy engineering, etc. It aims to provide researchers, engineers, academicians, and professionals from around the world with opportunities to present their latest research findings and development activities in smart grids and green energy. Key features include keynote speeches, technical sessions, and poster presentations, offering excellent networking opportunities for students, scholars, and researchers.
Chongqing, known as the "Mountain City", is renowned for its unique topography, rich cultural heritage, and delicious cuisine. Located in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, with the Jialing River running through it, Chongqing’s urban architecture is built along mountainsides in a layered, picturesque fashion. Iconic landmarks such as the Yangtze River Cable Car and light rail trains passing through buildings exemplify the city’s uniqueness. Riding the cable car offers breathtaking views of the confluence of the two rivers, showcasing Chongqing’s grandeur and charm. Its night view—especially at Hongyadong and Jiefangbei—is spectacular and unforgettable.
With over 3,000 years of history, Chongqing boasts profound cultural roots. Historic sites like Hongyadong and Ciqikou Ancient Town bear witness to its long and eventful past. Local operas such as Sichuan Opera and Yu Opera showcase the distinctive Ba-Yu regional culture. Moreover, Chongqing served as a vital base during the War of Resistance Against Japan; sites like the Red Rock Revolutionary Memorial Museum document that heroic era.
Chongqing is famous worldwide for its food. Its spicy-hot pot delivers an aromatic, numbing-spicy delight to every palate. Local snacks—including Xiao Mian (Chongqing noodles), Sour-Spicy Vermicelli, and Douhua (tofu pudding)—are uniquely flavorful and memorable. Chongqing’s “Jianghu” cuisine—featuring dishes like La Zi Ji (spicy diced chicken) and Mao Xue Wang (spicy blood curd hotpot)—offers bold, exciting flavors that thrill diners. In Chongqing, the collision of cuisine and taste buds creates an unforgettable experience.
