第十届电气化交通前沿技术论坛

To precisely address major national strategic needs and vigorously promote the green, low-carbon, environmentally friendly, and intelligent development of electrified transportation technologies—thus supporting energy transition and the strategy of building a strong transportation nation—the 9th Forum on Frontier Technologies of Electrified Transportation was grandly inaugurated from May 22 to 24, 2025, at the Shangri-La Hotel in Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province. Hosted by the Technical Committee on Electrified Transportation of the China Power Supply Society, and co-organized by Yanshan University, Tsinghua University, and CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Co., Ltd., this forum is the first interdisciplinary, cross-domain, open, and collaborative high-end academic platform in China’s electrified transportation field. It attracted over 300 authoritative experts and scholars from universities, research institutes, and leading enterprises across China, the United States, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Denmark, and Australia, along with representatives from 11 enterprises.

The opening ceremony commenced punctually at 8:30 a.m. on May 23, chaired by Prof. Xiaoqiang Guo, Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering at Yanshan University and General Chair of the forum. Inspiring speeches were delivered by Mr. Lei Zhang, Secretary-General of the China Power Supply Society, and Prof. Desong Wang, Vice President of Yanshan University.

In the plenary keynote session, world-class academic and industrial leaders shared cutting-edge advances: Dr. Don Tan (Member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, IEEE Fellow), Prof. Xiongfei Wang (Editor-in-Chief of IEEE TPEL, IEEE Fellow), Dr. Zhanfeng Deng (Huairou Laboratory), Prof. Xiaoqiang Guo (Yanshan University), Mr. Anbo Yu (Hefei Sunlight Electric Power Technology Co., Ltd.; Vice President of Yanshan University Automotive Industry Alumni Association), Mr. Yunqing Hu (CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Co., Ltd.), Mr. Donghua Wu (CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd.), and Prof. Yongdong Li (Tsinghua University). Topics included hydrogen energy technology, high-speed maglev systems, and forward-looking developments in electrified transportation.

A welcome banquet was held on May 23, featuring remarks by Prof. Zhengwei Qu, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Yanshan University. Prof. Miao Zhu (Shanghai Jiao Tong University), representative of the organizing team for the 10th Forum, delivered a speech, followed by an official flag handover ceremony.

On the morning of May 24, 11 parallel sessions covered key technical directions including electric vehicles, rail transit, electricity-to-hydrogen conversion, more-electric aircraft, marine electrification, and artificial intelligence in transportation.

The success of this forum was made possible by the dedicated efforts of faculty and students from Yanshan University’s School of Electrical Engineering—in registration, hospitality, technical support, and overall operations—earning high praise from participants and showcasing Yanshan University’s excellence and cultural strength globally.
