5th World Tribology Congress

The fifth World Tribology Congress (WTC V) will be held in Torino from Sunday 8th to Friday 13th 2013. It follows the way traced by the previous editions of London (1997), Vienna (2001), Washington DC (2005) and Kyoto (2009). The Congress consists in scientific sessions, symposia on specific topics, a wide exhibition and various collateral events. Groups of experts will have the chance to share information and get in touch with other groups. Particular attention will be held to eco-tribology and sustainability. Nowadays these aspects are more and more important both to save energy by means of friction reduction, both to respect the environment. Main Aims of the Congress are: to promote Tribology to contribute to the technical developments related to Tribology to promote international relations and exchanges to highlight how Tribology fundamentals and applied studies are essential for environmental aspects to promote the exchange of scientific knowledge among the academic and the industrial world to put in evidence the new research trends
