The 2nd International Congress on Catalysis for Biorefineries

On behalf of the Organizing Committees, it is our privilege to invite you to attend the 2nd International Congress on Catalysis for Biorefineries (CatBior II) to be held in Dalian between September 23-25, 2013. Energy crisis and environmental pollution demands innovative solutions and substantial structure changes from a petroleum-based to a bio-based industrial production. Integration of catalytic techniques into biorefinery processes has demonstrated remarkable potentials toward a sustainable societal development. The ambition of CatBior II is to cover the most advanced research topics in these fields, to provide a platform for exchanging ideas, and to pave the way for future research challenges. As we are in an era in which there is a continuous progress in sustainable energy sources and technologies, we would like to invite researchers, scientists, engineers, practitioners, policy makers, and students to this international conference to exchange idea, present new technologies and developments, and discuss the future direction, strategies and priorities in the field of catalysis for biorefineries.
