Knowledge discovery and data mining have become areas of growing significance because of the recent increasing demand for KDD techniques, including those used in machine learning, databases, statistics, knowledge acquisition, data visualization, and high performance computing. Knowledge discovery and data mining can be extremely beneficial for the field of Artificial Intelligence in many areas, such as industry, commerce, government, education and so on.
In view of this, and following workshop on knowledge Discovery and Data Mining aimed to provide an opportunity for the sharing of original research results, innovative ideas, state-of-the-art developments, and implementation experiences in knowledge discovery and data mining among researchers in academic and industrial organizations..
The First Workshop will be taken place in Adelaide, Australia 23-24 January 2008. All accepted paper will be included in WKDD 2008 workshop proceedings, which will be published by IEEE Computer Society. WKDD 2008 will be indexed by EI's Engineering Information Index, Compendex®, (Elsevier http://www.ei.org/ ), and ISI Thomson's Scientific and Technical Proceedings®, ISTP®/ISI Proceedings, and Current Contents on Diskette® (ISI Thomson http://www.isinet.com/ ), Some outstanding papers are published by international journals, which are indexed by SCI and EI.
The theme for WKDD 2008 in Adelaide, is "Advancing Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining", We look forward to welcoming you to this exciting event!
