The 4th International Conference of Bionic Engineering (ICBE 2013)

ABOUT THE EVENT 'Bionic Engineering' is the study of living systems with the intention of applying their principles to the design of engineering systems, and it is an interdisciplinary research field which integrates biology, materials science, mechanics, informatics, tribology, and other related subjects. In recent years, bionic engineering has been actively developed globally. Many bionic scientific research and products have been conducted, designed and developed. The 4th International Conference of Bionic Engi-neering (ICBE 2013), sponsored by the Institute for Bio-inspired Structure and Surface Engineering, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Ministry of Education of China, will be held on August 13-16, 2013, in Nanjing, China. Continuing from the conferences in 2006, 2008 and 2010, ICBE 2013 intends to bring together research-ers and developers in the academic field and in-dustry from around the world to share their research experience and to explore research collaboration in the areas of bionic engineering. We are pleased to invite you to submit papers and attend ICBE 2013.
