Introduction
The ubiquitous nature of sensor networks has driven the development of smart and autonomous sensors. In addition to basic information processing techniques, intelligent methods are being incorporated into the design, implementation, and management of smart sensor networks. Smart sensor networks are able to react adaptively and autonomously to their rapidly changing environments. This workshop will provide a forum for presenting and discussing the most recent advances in different aspects of smart sensor networks. The workshop will gather leading researchers from academics and industry to present their research and experiences in developing/deploying smart sensor networks. Authors of IWSSN workshop 2013 are promoted to freely enjoy CyberC 2013 and Big Data Summit. Both of the events are co-sponsored by a number of industry giants.
