In April, the weather in Sydney is typically very pleasant; despite it is actually being autumn. The Spring in Tencon refers to the Northern Hemisphere season. The competitive bid to host the conference was won by the NSW Section, which being in the Southern Hemisphere, resulted in the spring conference taking place in the fall. This new TENCON Spring conference is a sister conference of the well known TENCON conference. Both conferences are initiated by IEEE Region 10. The IEEE TENCON Spring 2013 conference will have two Technical Chairs. Prof Vassilios Agelidis and Prof Jinhong Yuan from the University of New South Wales are the Technical Chair and co-chair of the conference.
