2013 CAS -TWAS Symposium on Green Technology

2013 CAS-TWAS Symposium on Green Technology (SGT2013) will be held in Beijing, China on October 20-23, 2013. The main theme of this symposium is Frontier of Green Technology in Chemistry and Engineering. Green technology means the technology which is environmentally friendly, developed and used in such a way so that it doesn’t disturb the environment and conserves natural resources. It encompasses a continuously evolving group of methods and materials, from techniques for generating energy to non-toxic cleaning products. Recently, human beings are facing serious problems of the energy, resources and environment. Therefore, developing green technology is necessary for the future. SGT provides new opportunities to solve the crucial problems and exchange the frontier in green technology. This symposium is organized by the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS), Chinese Academy of Science (CAS), Institute of Process Engineering (IPE) and hosted by CAS-TWAS Centre of Excellence on Green Technology (CEGT). The objective of this symposium is to provide a good opportunity for researchers from the developing countries to exchange ideas, to present new findings, and to promote international collaboration in the field of SGT. SGT2013 will also provide an opportunity for organizations to showcase products and services to key industry personnel and to network with existing and potential clients and colleagues.
