Data-Intensive Scientific Discovery 2013

The workshop on Data-Intensive Scientific Discovery (DISD2013), to be held on August 1-4, 2013 in Shanghai, China, addresses the research issues in designing, building, managing and evaluating advanced data-intensive systems and applications. It will provide a forum for exchanging cutting-edge ideas in algorithms, tools, software, and experiences on data-intensive applications as well as the development and availability of sound numerical software. We invite the submission of original research contributions and industrial papers which are not published or under review elsewhere. The proceedings of the conference will be published by Springer-Verlag and some of the conference papers will be recommended to an SCI journal like International Journal of Numerical Analysis and Modeling. The Annual Business Meeting of the IFIP (International Federation for Information Processing) WG2.5 (Working Group of Numerical Software) will be held at Shanghai University on August 5, 2013.
