3rd International Conference of World Society Disaster Nursing (WSDN)

Endorsed by the World Society of Disaster Nursing, the Chinese Nursing Association is pleased to host 2014 the Third World Society of Disaster Nursing Research Conference. According to the data from the UNDP Bureau for Crisis Prevention and Recovery, at least 75% of the people in the world have experienced a disaster event. Nurses are one of the main bodies in disaster rescue and are playing an important role in disaster relief. However, problems of lacking rescue knowledge, skills and experiences still remain. This conference will focus on experience and practice sharing in all aspects of disaster nursing, including mental health, recovery and rehabilitation. Keynote speakers will be invited from World Health Organization, International Council of Nurses, and National Health and Family Planning Commission of the People's Republic of China. The Conference will feature keynote presentations, workshops, oral presentations, and posters and poster presentations in order to facilitate information exchange and sharing. We invite all colleagues who are committed in disaster rescue, training, education and management to come and join us. We look forward to seeing you in Beijing!
