2014 CAS-TWAS Symposium on Advanced Engineering Science for Sustainable Development (AES2014)

2014 CAS-TWAS Symposium on Advanced Engineering Science for Sustainable Development (AES2014) will be held in Beijing, China on May 28-30, 2014. Sustainable development is the main theme all over the world, which has been becoming particularly important among the developing countries. In order to achieve the sustainable development, we have to rely on engineering science. Because engineering is a system involving in multidisciplinary subject, this symposium aims to establish a platform for communication and cooperation among the engineering scientists, practitioners, policy makers and so on from the developing countries as well as the developed countries. The topics of this symposium will cover a wide spectrum of engineering science, including process engineering, energy and environmental engineering, material engineering, biochemical engineering, modeling and optimization, informatics and system control, resource management and policy, etc. We hope this symposium could provide new opportunities to identify the most challenges we are facing and the possible solutions through the joint efforts. During this symposium we will also provide an opportunity for industries to showcase products and services and to network with existing and potential clients and colleagues. This symposium is organized by Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS), and hosted by CAS-TWAS Centre of Excellence on Green Technology (CEGT) and Institute of Process Engineering (IPE), CAS.
