The International Conference on Experimental Fluid Mechanics (ICEFM) was conceived by the late Professor Fenggan Zhuang (1925-2010), an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, in order to exchange latest results on experimental fluid mechanics beyond national boundaries and to report state-of-the-art techniques. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd conferences were held in China (Chengdu, 1991), Italy (Torino, 1994) and Russia (Moscow, 1997) respectively, but no further conferences were organized. Having witnessed a significant progress in many important areas of experimental fluid mechanics over the last two decades, we see the need to organize the 4th International Conference on Experimental Fluid Mechanics.
The 4th International Conference on Experimental Fluid Mechanics will be held in Beijing on 12-15 August 2014. Contributions to all areas of experimental fluid mechanics are welcome, including measurement techniques and flow visualization. Suggested topics for presentation are given below. Paper selection will be based on two independent reviews of submitted abstracts by members of the Scientific Committee.
