Introduction
The 14th International Symposium on the Science and Technology of Lighting will be held in Italy on Lake Como, one of the most beautiful areas in the North of Italy. It is a great pleasure to invite you to take part to this Conference in June 2014, from the 22nd to the 27th. LS Conference has been held regularly since 1973 and provides a unique opportunity for the worldwide community of engineers, scientists, and designers from the lighting industry, research organizations and academia to meet, present and discuss their work on light sources and lighting. We are confident that this conference, like the previous editions, will be a forum of discussion for all the experts and for interested people. New challenges and recent breakthroughs in the field will be presented during this conference. Workshops and technical tutorials will be organized to train all the interested people on solid state lighting technology, lighting design and lighting applications. For any additional information, please contact LS14conference@centrovolta.it We hope you will enjoy the scientific presentations and the magic atmosphere emerging from the lake and the mountains surrounding Como. In addition to the high level scientific program, social events and an enjoyable plan of tourist activities for delegates and accompanying persons will be prepared. We look forward to seeing you in June 2014!
