The 2014 International Workshop on the GReen Optimized Wireless Networks (GROWN 2014)

Khalifa University of Science, Technology, and research were organizing since 2010 the Performance Enhancements in MIMO-OFDM Systems (PEMOS) workshops in conjunctions with the IEEE WiMob conference. In 2013, the theme of the workshop has changed to green wireless communication networks, as international organizations and governments worldwide have enacted policies aimed at improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions. Meanwhile, the global IT and communications industry has rolled out the research of energy efficiency standards. The world’s famous telecommunications operators and equipment vendors have mapped out a series of energy efficiency and environmental protection standards. Green Optimized wireless networks (GROWN) will introduce the research community (industry, academia, and government) to the advanced research in the latest energy efficient optimized wireless networks and to promote teams’ collaborations among organizations that have relevant expertise to conduct an advanced research in this area.
