Light Conference

The United Nations (UN) General Assembly 68th Session proclaimed 2015 as the International Year of Light and Light-Based Technologies (IYL 2015). With the significant progress of Light: Science & Applications (LSA), co-published by Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics (CIOMP) of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Nature Publishing Group (NPG), four annual Light Conference series events were successfully organized previously. To celebrate the IYL 2015, Light Conference will be held in Changchun, China on July 6-15, 2015. The series events include International Conference on Micro/Nano Optical Engineering (ICOME2015), LSA Editorial Board Meeting, Young Scientists Forum, Optics & Precision Engineering Forum, Satellite Workshop, Nature Paper Writing Training, and Sino-German Joint Symposium on Photonic Manufacturing, Manipulation and Measurement (PMMM). This Light Conference series events will bring together international leading experts with top Chinese scientists, young researchers, and students working in the optics community. The events are sponsored by the CIOMP of CAS, co-organized by State Key Laboratory on Integrated Optoelectronics at Jilin University, State Key Laboratory on Applied Optics State Key Laboratory of Luminescence and Applications and Editorial Department of Light: Science & Applications of CIOMP, and Department of Microsystems Engineering at University of Freiburg in Germany, , and supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC)，the headquarter of Chinese Academy of Sciences and China Association for Science and Technology. Taking the opportunity of IYL 2015, the Light Conference is expected to transcend the previous ones in various aspects. More than 100 internationally-recognized experts will be invited to present their most recent work on optics and photonics. This will provide a wonderful platform for experts and scholars to exchange their latest research results and innovation technologies. High-quality papers from this conference may have an opportunity to publish in LSA. The Light Conference may bring more and more experts and scholars in optics together to create a high-end forum. As a result, we can work together through the conference to continuously support LSA, a Nature journal with a rising reputation in the research community.
