Introduction

The Conference on Networked Systems (NetSys) provides an international forum for engineers and scientists in academia, industry and government to discuss innovations in the realm of networked systems, including aspects of networking, distributed systems, communications, middleware and applications. This biennial conference is the successor of the conference series KiVS (Kommunikation in Verteilten Systemen), which started more than 30 years ago and evolved into the major scientific event in German-speaking countries in the field of communications and distributed systems. While similar in scope, the NetSys conference particularly invites international contributions and will serve as an English speaking forum addressing all aspects of networked systems.
