2016 IEEE Italy Section School on Future Energy Systems (SFES)

Topics include (but are not limited to):

• electric power generation, transmission, distribution and storage;
• distributed energy resources (DER);
• energy monitoring, management and control;
• design principles and performance models;
• efficiency and reliability issues;
• control and measurement techniques;
• signal processing algorithms for energy systems;
• communication technologies for smart grids;

Every year, a different broad topic is selected and analyzed in depth, with lectures by renowned speakers and researchers invited from international institutions. The broad topic selected for the 2016 edition of the School is: “Energy efficiency and reliability.” The School target audience comprises students and professionals (both from Academia and from industry), who are interested in learning the most recent advancements in the selected broad topic.
