Introduction
The resources should be obtained by excavation from the EARTH.The behavior of excavation demolishes the earth and mass production and/or consumption systems for well-being cause to generate much more amount of waste materials.Currently, we are at the stage where reviews are being done on want kind of circulatory society should be created and what the stance of industry should be in order to achieve the environmentally sound and sustainable society. The issue of waste treatment and successful recycling efforts will be an urgent need for environmentally sound and sustainable development in the future,and harmonization of social system and technical development is essential.And also more collaboration between different research areas and nations is necessary to progress it. This symposium will offer the participants the latest advances in waste recycling and management which include separation of valuables from waste,waste treatment and minimization,energy recovery from waste,wastewater treatment,assessment of environmental impact,metal recycling,environmental law and regulation,and other important topics related with resources and materials recycling.We believe this symposium will make progress on the co-operation between the participants and the researchers on the green technologies for the resources and materials recycling throughout the East Asia.
