On behalf of the Organizing Committee of The International Symposium on Catalytic Conversions of Biomass (ISCCB-2016), we would like to extend our warm welcome to you for participating this exciting event, which will be held during June 27-30, 2016 at NTUH International Convention Center in Taipei, Taiwan. The ISCCB-2016 is one of the satellite symposia of The 16th International Congress on Catalysis (ICC-16) to be held during July 3-8, 2016 in Beijing, China.
Focusing on catalytic conversions of biomass, the scopes of the ISCCB-2016 will be on refining & processing of bio-feedstock, productions of bioenergies & biochemicals, biocatalysis & bioprocesses, conversions of carbohydrates, utilization of lipids & microalgaes, and related catalysts preparation, characterization, kinetics & mechanistic studies, as well as theoretical calculation & modeling. This pre-ICC symposium aims to provide a high-profile and internationally renowned forum for researches in biomass-related catalysis and technology. In addition, ISCCB-2016 also hope to offer an ideal and cordial setting for all participants worldwide to share experiences, to exchange views, to discuss the advancements and breakthroughs in relevant fields, and to promote friendships.
The ISCCB-2016 organizing committee has worked very hard to provide an outstanding scientific program, which consists of Plenary, Keynote, and Invited Lectures, and Oral and Poster Presentations. We are anticipating presentations of more than 200 papers and publications of two peer-review Special Issues. In addition, several social programs and tours will be arranged for all participants to experience the unique fusion of Taiwanese cultures, lifestyles, and exotic cuisines in this energetic capital city of Taiwan--Taipei.
