International Workshop on Mathematical Aspects of Data Science 2016

In the era of big data, analyzing and processing data of unprecedented size and complexity raises a series of scientific challenges such as storage bottleneck and algorithmic scalability.These make data science one of the major research advancements in science within the last decade. The main objective of this workshop  is to  bring mathematicians and scientists world-wide to address important issues on mathematical aspects of data science. The academic activities will generally cover the following topics on data science which are highly relevant: Learning Theory, Approximation Theory, Compressed Sensing, and Image Processing.
