28th International Carbohydrate Symposium

Preparations for XXVIII International Carbohydrate Symposium in New Orleans, Louisiana are under way. New Orleans is a favorite destination in the US for business and pleasure. Our region is also a hub of several carbohydrate endeavors, from the sugar industry to the research laboratories of several major universities and the US Department of Agriculture. We look forward to seeing our old friends and making lots of new ones.

The 2016 International Carbohydrate Symposium will offer air-conditioned comfort by having the entire meeting within one hotel, with ample room for parallel sessions. The Marriott New Orleans has 1275 guest rooms, located on Canal Street, on the edge of the famous French Quarter.

Our technical program will be superb so that the program can compete with the many temptations of New Orleans. However, some of these attractions will be in the program. Accompanying persons can see a range of museums, the zoo, insectarium, aquarium, the local architecture, sculpture garden, cemeteries, swamps, and plantations. Don’t forget the famed cuisine of our celebrity chefs, and of course, there’s always the music.
