The 3rd ISM International Statistical Conference 2016

Statistics is a universal knowledge which is the thrust of the development of modern science and technology. It has an important role in different disciplines and in expanding human’s thinking. 

With the intention to further flourish the knowledge of statistics, the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Faculty of Science, University of Malaya (UM) with the cooperation of the Malaysia Institute of Statistics (ISM), is proud to proceed with the tradition of excellence by organizing “The 3rd International Statistical Conference (ISM-III)” in 2016.  

This conference will assemble statisticians from different disciplines and statistic users especially in the public and private sectors.

OBJECTIVES OF ISM-III

The objectives of ISM-III are as stated below:

1. Assembling professionals from both the public and private sectors to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing in a conducive environment.
2. Providing a platform for researchers and practitioners in the field of statistics to share their findings, which results in new creativity and innovation in mathematical research.
3. Providing opportunities to highlight new and recent discoveries and innovations that can be expanded in line with the theme of the conference.
4. Encouraging interaction and greater collaboration between statistical researchers, public and private agency, and the industries at the international level.
