SMC 2016 Special Session on Big Data Analytics

Since we are in the era of big data, large volumes of data streams are continuously generated from sensors, social media, the Internet, etc. In many different environments, it is essential that these data can be analysed in real time in order to extract useful information, evaluate it and take appropriate decisions. Big data analytics can be defined as the process to automatically extract knowledge from those huge volumes of data.
