Introduction
Information and communication technologies have been providing an effective network infrastructure and development platform for logistics and service operations. To meet the needs of consumers and to promote core competences, many firms have been developing new technologies and services. With the economic globalization, there have been many new phenomena, new situations and new challenges in the industries in each country. Thus there is a necessity for academics to conduct in-depth research on these topics.
The special session will inherit the current research of international academic community on the emerging fields of logistics, informatics, service sciences and industrial security system, which not only focus on the theoretic developments, but also pay attention to practical applications of the methods and techniques.
