The Federation of African Societies of Chemistry (FASC) was established on 23 February 2006 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. FASC aims at promoting the advancement of chemical sciences and the practice of chemistry that could be instrumental to the fulfillment of the development aspiration and objective of the people in Africa.
One of the major activities of FASC has been to organize scientific conferences as way of promoting interactions and networking as well as to provide for dissemination and sharing of research results among African chemists as well as with peers worldwide.
The Tanzania Chemical Society (TCS) was founded and officially registered in 1997. TCS held its first Inaugural Conference in 1999 and held a second international conference in 2011.
In 2017 the Tanzania Chemical Society (TCS) will be holding the Third TSC International Conference and has been honoured to also host the Sixth FASC Congress. The events will be held from the 11th to the 15th September 2017, in Arusha, Tanzania
The conference will cover all areas of chemistry including:
Analytical Chemistry
