Introduction

Now, more than even, Consumer Protection represents a key issue for all stakeholders in Europe.

New pieces of legislation, such as the Solvency II Directive and the Insurance Distribution Directive have been adopted by the European Parliament. More will follow. Have consumers really understood how all of these will impact them? Are they prepared for what the future might bring? Are European regulators ready to implement these policies? What about the media?

Event's goals:

To provide a forum for exchanging ideas and debate on key consumer issues and trends within Europe in light of recent improvement of the EU legislation concerning insurances and IORPs;
