Conference on Value Addition and Innovation in Textiles

Owing to the success of the 3rd International Conference on Value Addition and Innovation in Textiles which was held in March 2015 in National Textile University, Faisalabad for the Textile and Apparel Industry, we hereby welcome and invite to the 4th International Conference on Value Addition and Innovation in Textiles to be held in March 2017 at National Textile University, Faisalabad.

COVITEX which is by all measures truly international meeting, gathering academic scholars, scientists, engineers and industrial individuals interested in the present and future of textiles. The objective is to present, discuss and diffuse the state-of-the-art knowledge in textile material research and innovation. Textiles relevant aspects are covered in this comprehensive and well-structured program, including recent textile technologies, advances in nanotechnology, textiles and the environment, biomaterial and development of advanced textile materials.

The conference provide an excellent forum for international research collaborations between academics, practitioners, curators, industry and other research active groups and individuals. The Conference will also provide concise platform to bring in front cultural and conceptual issues that hinder contemporary textile research in various parts of the world. The conference aims to promote critical engagement with practice, and will encourage people to give their point of view on current research and development in various areas of textiles.

We welcome those with an interest or expertise in textile research and innovation and are currently engaged in practice-based or theory-based textile research. We will also encourage the development of research relating to both contemporary and historical textiles.
