Special Session : Education in Electromagnetics

The research and teaching on the electromagnetic wave and the antenna engineering for the undergraduate students are two commodities with a fine delicate relationship. In the research, the electromagnetic simulators based on the Method of Moments, FDTD method, FEM method, and so on are used to explain the phenomenon of the electromagnetics. The Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) is also useful tool to visualize them. In this Special Session, the integration of research in various fields such as antennas, wave propagation, electromagnetics and others into undergraduate classroom teaching will be introduced. This Special Session provides a platform for academic staff to engage in fruitful discussion as they learn from each other how research can be integrated into teaching, which ultimately will improve their productivity and students satisfaction.
