The 2017 International Workshop on Image and Data Fusion

With increasing amounts of data collected from satellite, airborne, and ground based imaging systems, image and data fusion techniques are gaining more and more importance. By the integration of multi-sensor, multi-temporal, multi-resolution and multi-platform image data, together with geospatial data, GIS, in-situ, and other statistical data sets, more accurate information can be obtained to provide for robust operational performance. This leads to increased confidence, reduced ambiguity and improved classification to enable evidence based management.
The International Workshop on Image and Data Fusion has being organized every two years since 2007.  We will hold “The 2017 International Workshop on Image and Data Fusion (IWIDF2017)” in 2017. IWIDF2017 will take place in Wuhan, Hubei, China, from 20th to 21th Sept., 2017 organized by International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS). The main theme of the symposium is “Image and Data Fusion”. It will be also a part of the ISPRS Geospatial Week 2017 from 18th to 22nd Sep., 2017 in the same place, where a number of workshops and symposiums will be jointly held.
IWIDF2017 will provide a forum for leading international scientists and young researchers to present their latest research developments, exchange their research ideas and share their experience in techniques and applications of image and data fusion. It will provide two days of keynote addresses, paper presentations and a poster session. There will be several technical sessions and lots of opportunities to meet fellow researches coming from the world to create and enhance collaborations.
