Introduction

The 2017 IEEE International Conference on Advanced Robotics and Mechatronics (ICARM 2017) will take place in Hefei and Tai’an , China, during August 27th-31st, 2017. The theme of ICARM 2017 is “New Frontier in Robotics and Mechatronics”. The modern robotic technologies have enabled robots to operate in a variety of unstructured and dynamically changing environments in addition to traditional structured environments. New challenges and technologies have thus become an important element in robotics and mechatronics reserach. It is important to discuss and formulate the direction of the frontier. In 2017, there are two host cities. Hefei locates in the central portion of Anhui province and embraces one of the five largest freshwater lakes (Chaohu Lake) in China. It has many enchanting views such as Lord Bao Temple and Sanhe Ancient Town. Tai’an lies at the south foot of Mount Taishan which is considered as the first of the five sacred mountains of China. Both cities will not only provide the attendees with a great venue for this event, but also a great chance to experience the beautiful natural landscape and Chinese traditional culture.

All papers must be submitted in PDF format prepared strictlyfollowing the IEEE PDF Requirements. The standard number of pages is 6 and the maximum page limit is 8 pages with extrapayment for the two extra pages. All papers accepted by IEEE ICARM 2017 will be indexed by EI and included in IEEE Xplore.
