Introduction

The 7th European Workshop on Visual Information Processing (EUVIP) will take place in Tampere, Finland, 26 - 28 November 2018. EUVIP 2018 continues the series of workshops on visual information processing, modeling, and analysis inspired by human and biological visual systems, with applications to image and video processing and communications. The aim of EUVIP2018 is to gather some of the leading specialists working or interested in these areas and create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to talk about the latest and the most important issues in these fields. The conference program will feature oral and poster presentations, students session, tutorials, and plenary sessions.

Special attention will be devoted to student contributions in EUVIP2018. Regular student papers, for which the first author is a student, will be considered for best student paper award.
