The 16th IEEE RAS Humanoids Conference will be held in Cancun, México on November 15 - 17, 2016. The conference theme will be "Humanoids in the Deep Learning Age." Robots are acting in complex environments shared with humans, in roles that are increasingly more sophisticate technically and in social interaction. The astonish progress in machine learning, deep learning, compress sensing and big data demands to include these techniques in the design and building of robust humanoid robots to address fundamentally issues like how robots acquire information, reflect and make decisions, and also how robots will effectively interact in their environment with humans, handle complex tasks and interact with other robots.
