Draft Accepted
An optimization method for coordinated restoration of asynchronous sending and receiving power grids was proposed in this paper. The quantitative relationship between the restoration process of AC system and the system strength was studied. The load characteristic function of rectifier in sending end and the source characteristic function of inverter in receiving end were proposed. The restoration process of asynchronous power grid was studied from three stages, including before HVDC start-up, start timing, and operation. An optimization model of coordinated restoration for sending and receiving ends was established, and the optimal restoration scheme was obtained by using multi-population genetic algorithm (MPGA). Based on the IEEE 39-bus system, an asynchronous power grid example was constructed to verify the correctness of this proposed method.
