Student Papers
AMTA 2025 will award at least three (3) Best Student Paper Awards. Each student award recipient will receive a $500 USD cash award, a complimentary registration at AMTA 2026, and a one (1) year AMTA membership, active through December 31, 2026.
Award recipients are required to present their papers at the AMTA 2025 Symposium. Student paper guidelines will be sent upon acceptance of the abstract. Authors are asked to mark their abstract as “Student Paper” when submitting.

NOTE: Authors of accepted AMTA student papers have the option of including their paper on IEEE Xplore.

Eric Walton Student Travel Award
The scholarship is designed to encourage students interested in electromagnetics with an emphasis on antennas. It is open world-wide to undergraduate juniors and seniors as well as Masters and first year Ph.D. students.
Students must show a demonstrated interest in electromagnetics and/or in antennas and be able to attend the AMTA 2025 symposium. Award winners will receive travel funding up to $2,000 USD to attend the symposium as well as many other benefits. In order to apply, students must submit:
• An essay about his/her interest in AMTA, antennas, radar, or/and electromagnetic related field, giving background and plans for the future
• A resume which includes course listings with grades received
• A letter of recommendation from the student’s advisor or faculty member, or an AMTA Senior Member or Fellow who is not a sitting Board Member, or a member of the scholarship selection committee.

Submittal deadline: April 30, 2025
Award announcement: June 12, 2025
