While the electromagnetic railgun is accelerating a hypervelocity cluster for indirect strike, the strong magnetic field may destroy the sensitive electronic fuze. In this paper, four kinds of methods were adopted to suppress the magnetic intensity. First, the electronic fuze was kept a long distance from the armature, in the leading part of the cluster. Second, the electronic fuze was set in a shield chamber bottom during launching, and it could be sprung to the open peristome of the chamber after launch for communication and control. Third, the shield chamber had two layers, the outer layer was made of copper with a thickness of 10 mm. Fourth, the inner layer of the shield chamber was made of iron with a thickness of 5 mm. The physical model was founded, and the numerical simulation program of Maxwell 13.0 was used to detect the weakened magnetic at the chamber during launching. The results reached are the followings: the open shield chamber can reduce the inside magnetic intensity to four orders of magnitude, reaching a value of 0.11 mT, which is just as the daily-used electromagnetic environment. the research work have significance to railgun utilization engineering.
