Introduction

Organizing the International Radar Symposium 2018 (IRS 2018), the German Institute of Navigation (DGON) and the Fraunhofer Institute for High Frequency Physics and Radar Techniques (FHR) continue a very successful sequence of Radar Symposia, which started in Germany in 1998 and presently celebrates its 20th Anniversary. Due to the rapid development of technologies, radar technique is still an expanding technical and economical segment with practical applications both in civil and military areas. The worldwide community of radar researchers and experts is lively and everyone from the radar family is cordially invited to attend the International Radar Symposium 2018 in Bonn, Germany.
