Abstract
Pressure provides a powerful thermodynamic route to access hidden structural states in functional materials, yet the microscopic origin of pressure-induced amorphization remains elusive in many complex chalcogenides. Here we report a detailed high-pressure structural study of AgSbTe2 , combining synchrotron X-ray diffraction with density functional theory and molecular dynamics calculations up to 60 GPa. We uncover a pressure-driven transformation from the ambient
